Focus: Education and Volunteerism to support the GSC
The Volunteer Auxiliary is a 100-members strong group, including members from a diverse range of expertise, ages, and geographies. Chapters exist in Kalispell, Whitefish, and Bigfork. Each chapter operates independently serving the needs of the members in their own community. Twice a year, all the chapters work together on valley-wide project (Sept. luncheon and spring geranium sale). The League works to advance the GSC’s programs and visibility through the following activities:

League Events
Plans and hosts entertaining and educational events.

Education Programs
Organizes children’s concerts, special events, the Instrument Petting Zoo, lectures and participates with the Board of the GSC in selecting scholarship recipients.

Fundraising
Helps with major GSC fundraising projects, and conducts the annual spring geranium sale.

Concert Activities
Welcomes concert-goers, takes tickets, distributes programs, ushers and helps sell merchandise at concerts.

Receptions and Food Donations
Hosts and provides refreshments at concert rehearsals and receptions.

Membership
Registers members and guests at events, distributes member forms and collect dues, and helps keep member information current. Creates a membership directory annually.

Housing Concert Musicians
Meets wonderful musicians from other Montana orchestras and provides housing on concert weekends.

Mailings / Office Assistance
Donates a few hours to help prepare bulk mailings for League & GSC, and assists with clerical projects in the GSC office.
