Pops Night in Bigfork: Annual Fundraiser
July 06, 2012
The Glacier Symphony will return again this summer to the Harbor Village Pavillion in Bigfork for the 13th Annual Symphony Pops Fundraiser. This year, the festivities will include a barbecue accompanied by samplings of premiere Northwest wines from Oregon and Washington as well as specialty beers. You will be able to place orders for your favorite wine with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the GSC.
Also, there will be an unveiling of the Virtuoso Violins at the event this year. Twelve renowned artists from around the Flathead Valley have painted or sculpted 11 violins that will be on display. You will be the first to see them and have a chance to place a silent bid on one of these one-of-a-kind masterpeices. The final event and award of the Virtuoso Violins will be on Monday, July 23rd in Whitefish during Festival Amadeus.
Glacier Symphony Conductor and Music Director John Zoltek has an incredibly lively Summer Pops program planned that will inspire you throughout the summer season.
Support your Symphony! As in the past, this concert at the pavilion is the start for the annual GSC raffle and you will be encouraged to purchase a $100 raffle ticket. While purchase of a raffle ticket is not mandatory, we hope you understand that producing symphony and chorale concerts and education programs requires a significant amount of expense and logistics. Your raffle ticket purchase allows the GSC to remain strong, including a return to Bigfork each summer. If $100 is too steep for you, find a friend and split a ticket for $50 each and come enjoy the concert! We ask that the free food and beverages be reserved for those buying full price raffle tickets only.
